DESCRIPTION:
Austria, bracket clock, 30 hour, time and Viennese grand sonnerie strike, three train spring driven movement with verge escapement in hardwood case on ebonized turned feet, molded base and cornice, stop-chamfered front corners, glazed sizes, and stepped top with carrying handle, partially silvered brass dial surround with applied arcaded silvered chapter ring showing Roman numerals, aperture with faux pendulum, and pierced gilt hands.
CONDITION:
Case would originally have been ebonized and is now naturual wood color with a smooth finish. Broken arch dial mask is cracked and repaired in several places. The pendulum has a soldered repair near where it connects to the pallet arbor. Dial is attractive but likely restored. Clock strikes the quarters first, then the hours.
